About Dave
David Hodas has lived in Kinnelon for over a decade. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he first moved to Kinnelon from Silver Spring, MD, in 2015 with his wife and two children.
Dave’s wife, Stacy, grew up in Kinnelon and always knew she wanted to return home to raise her own children. Having fallen in love with Kinnelon while visiting over the years, Dave was happy to oblige.
Since then, Dave and Stacy moved into Fayson Lakes, welcomed their third child, and are now happily living the dream in Kinnelon.

As a volunteer firefighter over the years, he’s gotten to work with Kinnelon kids on fire safety – presenting at Wise Owl, where his kids attended preschool, helping with the old Safety Town program for incoming Kindergarteners, and hosting the Stonybrook Student Council at the firehouse for their annual field trip.

Prior to that, he was a CRJ Captain at a regional airline, where he worked for 5½ years and served as a Simulator Instructor and Line Check Airman to end his tenure.
To start his career as a pilot, Dave was a Gold Seal Flight Instructor in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area for about four years.
His career as a pilot has sharpened his ability to lead and solve problems under pressure, communicate clearly, and work effectively as part of a team – all qualities that will make him an asset to the Kinnelon BOE.
